Estonia and Latvia - Riga

As we drove through the city of Riga we were surprised by this tall building which is the Latvian Academy of Science. The 107m building was the first high-rise built in Latvia in the 1950s. It was built as a Socialist Workers’ Building, or dormitory for collective farm workers but never used as such.
